The Mayor organises events to raise funds, but the Gosporteers raise funds via a number of well established events, held throughout the year.
Each event has a sub-committee to deal with the detailed activity, reporting to the Main Committee, who have overall responsibility. Details of the events below.
Christmas Collection - during December - Santa’s sleigh tours Gosport and Lee-on-the-Solent, collecting for the Association of Search & Rescue Hovercraft, the Gosport & Lee-on-Solent Lions and the Gosporteers.
Gosporteers Carnival - Saturday in Mid-June - Arena events, stalls, clowns, fair and refreshments in Walpole Park. Carnival procession around Gosport in the afternoon.
Band Concert - July- Gosport Silver Band in Lee-on-the-Solent.
Vehicle & Bus Rally - August Bank Holiday Monday - Vehicles, arena events, stalls and refreshments at Stokes Bay
Gosporteers Michaelmas Fayre - September - Arena displays, stalls and refreshments in Walpole Park.
